Liberian Athletes set to make History in the ALL ECOWAS Games Today In Lome, Togo

West Africa 100m Youth Defending Champion, Arthur Quaqua of Liberia is said to be in full gear in preparation of retaining his title.

Young and talented Arthur won the title last year in Accra, Ghana in Liberia's first participation in the regional competition.

Arthur is among nine other Liberian athletes who are currently in Lome, Togo to participate in the competition.

The thirteen-member delegation comprises of ten athletes and three technical staffs.

According to Coach Eric, he is confident that his team will make Liberia proud and will bring back home more medals unlike the previous edition.

He named some of the outstanding Liberian athletes at the competition to fly the National Flag high in Track and Field as:  Arthur Quaqua 100m and 200m, Telven Jallah 100m and 200m, Jonathan Tomah 400m and Musa Kamara 400m.

Others are:  Marthaline Kesselly 100m and 200m why Traphina Turay 200m and 400m, Nancy Tokpah 100m and Grace Diago 400m respectively.

Following the team's training session, the Liberian Athletes are said to be in full gear for the commencement of this year's edition of the All ECOWAS Games.

It can be recalled that Liberia won twenty medals to include, Gold, Silver and Bronze in the last edition of the competition in Accra, Ghana.


Meanwhile, the official ceremony took place yesterday while the games will begin today in Accra, Ghana.
