Barrolle makes Statement of Intent for Championship

Liberia's second oldest football club Barrolle appears to be getting back to their glorious days as the Rollers have turned themselves into a title-chasing side.

The Red Boys Saturday came from a goal down to beat LPRC Oilers 3-1 at the Tusa Field in Gardnersville, outside Monrovia.

Teenage midfielder Nuch Zohn had a hand again in the Rollers' victory as he now sits at the top of the 1st division scoring log with nine goals to his credit.

Barrolle is now at 1st place on the LFA Orange First Division League table on superior goal ahead of LISCR FC.

Both Barrolle and LISCR FC are leveled on 23 points after ten matches.

Barrolle had won 7 of those ten fixtures, drawing against Watanga FC and Global Phalma, with their only defeat this season at LISCR FC.

Though the season still has a long way to it's conclusion, the Rollers with lots of young talents have already made a statement of intent to win their first league title since the 2010/2011 season.

Coach Christian Mehn who was recently trusted to the head coaching position of the Red Boys, seems to be turning the fortune of the Rollers.

He told reporters recently that Barrolle can regain it's status in Liberian football beginning this season with their fans showing up for games and landing other supports to the team.
