House marks Home-going Ceremony for Late Deputy Chief Clerk Geplay

The Protocol Division of the Honorable House of Representatives in conjunction with the family of the Late Honorable J. Sayfurh Geplay, has released ceremonials marking the Home going of the fallen Deputy Chief Clerk.

 

Born July 6, 1952 and died on October 15, 2023.

 

According to a release from the Press and Public Affairs Bureau of the House of Representatives, On Wednesday, 1 November, the remains of the fallen pen pusher will be removed from the St. Moses Funeral Parlors in Gardnersville and taken to the Rotunda of the Capitol Building to lay in State at 10 O’clock ante meridian.

 

The Homegoing ceremony will pay tribute to the life, legacy, and service of Honorable J. Sayfurh Geplay. The event will be a respectful and dignified celebration of his dedicated service and will serve as an opportunity for colleagues, family, and friends to honor his memory.

 

The ceremonial proceedings will encompass various elements to reflect the life and service of the late Deputy Chief Clerk. This occasion will feature heartfelt speeches, tributes, and moments of reflection to celebrate Honorable J. Sayfurh Geplay's enduring contributions and the impact he made during his tenure.

 

Following the State funeral at the Capitol, the body will be returned to the St. Moses funeral parlors in Gardnersville and on Friday 4 November at 10AM the funeral service will take place at the same Funeral Parlors and thereafter interment follows at the St. Moses burial site in Brewerville, Montserrado County.

 

The Honorable House of Representatives expresses its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late Honorable J. Sayfurh Geplay. His legacy and dedicated service will forever be remembered and cherished within the institution.
