The Customs Department of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) has officially transferred custody of ten boxes of narcotic drugs to the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA). The LDEA is the to the statutory authority on drug enforcement.
Prosecution third Witness testified in the ongoing Charloe Musu murder trial on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, saying that when he entered the house of former Chief Gloria Musu Scott he observed that someone had used a pepper spray in the living room.
Following the confirmation by the Ministry of Justice through the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) of the presence of methamphetamine in the confiscated packages of moringa leaves, the National Civil Society Council of Liberia (NCSCL) has lauded the Ministry for its initial role in the saga.
The Ministry of Justice, through the Joint Security of Liberia, has confirmed that the consignment of boxes it intercepted containing herbal plants - packaged and in natural form - at the Roberts International Airport reveals a presence of methamphetamine.
Battling the request of Defense lawyers to visit the crime scene which is former Chief Justice Gloria Musu Scott residence in Brewersville where the incident occurred and conducting an independent autopsy on the body of Charloe Musu which was denied recently, Criminal Court ‘A’ Judge Roosevelt Willie has given Defense lawyer the right to conduct their autopsy.
