Executive Mansion Press Corps to induct Newly Elected Officials Today

Journalists covering the Executive Mansion under the banner: Executive Mansion Press Corps will on today, Friday, May 19, 2023 induct into office as its new corps of officials.


The ceremony originally scheduled for April 21, 2023 was postponed due to the death of one of its members, ELBC's G. Naway Gumeh who was recently laid to rest in Suakoko, Bong County.


The induction program, according to the Chairman-Elect, Godfred Badu Quansah, will take place at the Monrovia City Hall by 10:00am.


As part of the ceremony, the Commissioner General of the Liberia Maritime Authority(LiMA) Eugene Lenn  Nagbe will serve as keynote speaker while the Minister of Commerce and Industry, 
Mawine Diggs will serve as induction officer respectively.

According to him, the induction will mark the second of its kind since the establishment of that organized media auxiliary of the Press Union of Liberia(PUL)..


It can be recalled that the first democratically elected Chairperson of the Executive Mansion Press Corps was Dennise Nimpson who is poised to officially hand over power  today. 


Mr. Quansah,  who used the occasion to encourage all of the invited guests to turn out and  form a part of the historic program,  at the same time urged members of the EMPC to be in full to grace the ceremony of their kind.

Additionally, he called on members of the media community to turnout and honor the induction ceremony of the second democratically elected leadership of journalists assigned at the Executive Mansion.


The new EMPC Boss said under his new leadership, professionalism, membership welfare, sound advocacy, unity and capacity building will be paramount under his watch for the next three years.


Meanwhile, those to be inducted into office are  Godfred Badu Quansah, Chairman, Anthony Jiffan, Co. Chair,  Alvin Worzi, Secretary General,  Matthew Jacob, Assistant Secretary General, Rachel G. Kollie, Financial Secretary and Ojuku Kangar, Chaplain General respectively.
