Avoid the personal attacks and focus more on the main meat of your messages
Amid tension amongst political parties, mainly the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) and the former ruling Unity Party (UP) in the ongoing campaign, we again call all political leaders and their supporters to avoid the personal attacks and focus more on the main meat of your messages.
In these elections, if care is not taken, it has propensity to take the country back to the dark days.
In execution of Article 77(b) of the Liberian Constitution, eligible Liberian voters will go to the polls on October 10 to elect a President/Vice President, 73 Representatives and 15 Senators.
Frankly, attacks and provocations may stir up violence, thus causing the country to revert to conflict, something that caused the country’s backwardness in 14 years.
Against this backdrop, we warn would be perpetrators of violence to desist from such act that has the propensity to undermine the democracy of Liberia.
We call on the electorates to observe the political terrain before implementing orders from your political leaders, because these are not called for, for our country.
To this end, we urge the first-time voters to make decisions that will benefit them, their families and the country at large.
