‘Allah Will Double His Blessings Upon Liberia’ ...Grand Mufti Sumawolo asserts

The Grand Mufti of the Supreme Council of Fatwa has disclosed that Allah will double His blessings upon Liberia and its people.
He recalled that since the 23rd,  which is considered as the Holiday during the Fasting and Praying period came on Friday as well as the Ramadan, it signifies that Allah will undoubtedly double  His blessings on the country and his mercies upon Muslims in the world.
Sheikh Sumawolo was delivering the Ramadan Message at the Gurley Street Mosque in Monrovia over the weekend, urging Muslims of Liberia to use the opportunity and present their needs to Allah.
"Allah is ready and willing to positively respond to the needs of the people and open the gate of infrastructures   including human development of the country,’’ Sheikh Sumawolo pointed out. 
He then lauded the Muslims for carrying out a successful fasting and praying period for thirty unbroken days, saying it is one of the pillars of the Islamic Tradition and he encouraged them to continue praying for the country so that the October 10, 2023 Presidential and Legislative Elections can be peaceful.
The Imam of the Gurley Street Mosque warned Muslims in Liberia not to support those individuals or groups who ferment confusion as it leads to disunity amongst the Muslims Community, stressing that they should be weeded out of the organization.
"Let us respect authorities and unite as one people for peace and unity to reign amongst us," he stated. 
He then expressed gratitude to the  Muslim leaders for their efforts that culminated for them to have celebrated the Ramadan on the same day, which has not been the case for more than twenty years ago and called on Imams to encourage their followers to registrar in the final stage of the Biometric Voter  Registration process so that they can be eligible to vote for their leaders.
Speaking further, the Muslim Cleric expressed gratitude to President George Manneh  Weah  for his sustained contributions toward the Muslim Community for annually receiving  donations of huge quantity of rice and cash whenever they are celebrating their Islamic Festivals like Ramadan, Abraham Day, amongst others.
"He has also appointed Islamic Advisor in his office, a historic move since 1847 while the government has built a modern Emirate Hospital in Bopolu City, Gbarpolu County, Headquarters of the Muslims in Liberia since 1821," he intoned. 
He further commended the Government of Liberia(goL) for allowing female Muslim students to cover their heads during school hours at the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS) and government workers leaving work for Fridays Prayers.

 ‘’We need to express gratitude to President Weah so that he can continue doing more for the Islamic Community in Liberia,’’ he added.
