Mother On the Run After Killing Baby Over Delay to Walking

In the heart-wrenching events that unfolded in the Guinea Road Community in Ganta, Nimba County, a 24-year-old woman, Princess Prince, is currently evading authorities after committing a heinous act – killing her one-year-old baby.

The tragic incident took place near the Winifred J. Harley College of Health Sciences at the United Methodist University and Pastor Fred Suah School.

Princess Prince, who had recently moved to Ganta from Karnplay City Zone 4 and Bahn City, is alleged to have broken her own baby's neck out of frustration over the child's delayed ability to walk.

Eyewitnesses recount Princess's concerns about her one-year-old child, Cecelia, whom she believed was slower in learning to walk compared to her other children. This frustration tragically escalated into an unthinkable act.

The eyewitnesses, who chose to remain anonymous, disclosed that Princess Prince, being 24 years old, had expressed her frustrations about Cecelia's developmental milestones. The community was shocked as the despairing mother resorted to taking her child's life.

Following the horrific incident, Princess Prince fled to Gbarnga, Bong County, out of fear of arrest by the Ganta police. Her actions left her father, Prince Yeetuah, baffled and distressed.

He revealed that despite caring for her children when they were born, Princess never allowed him to see any of their fathers. During an interview, he questioned the unimaginable path his daughter had taken, pondering the impact on her future.

Our correspondent discovered that Princess Prince, after taking her children from the Guinea Road Community, has been reportedly seen on the Ivory Coast. The police in Ganta are diligently working to affect her arrest through collaboration with the Ivorian government. The international dimension adds complexity to the case, reflecting the gravity of the situation and the urgent need for justice.

This deeply unsettling incident raises questions about the mental health support available to mothers and the importance of community awareness in identifying signs of distress.

It also emphasizes the need for comprehensive investigations to understand the full context of Princess Prince's actions and the circumstances leading up to the tragedy.

As the authorities continue their pursuit, the community grapples with shock and grief over the loss of an innocent life and the alarming circumstances that preceded it.
