In Charloe Musu’s Murder Case Foreign Pathologist trashes Liberian Pathologist’s Report

A foreign Forensic Pathologist Expert - Dr. Matthias I. Okoye in the Charloe Musu’s murder trial has trashed Liberia’s Chief Pathologist Dr. Benedict Kolee’s medical autopsy report. 
On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, when Dr. Okoye took the witness stand to testify as to his medical autopsy report, he said, according to the toxicologist report referring to the DNA report in the first autopsy conducted by Dr. Kolee, there was no Y chromosome identified when the DNA analysis was done.
Dr. Okoye said a person can do heterochromatin a nuclear of a chrome to know whether somebody is a male or female; it is used in paternity testing.
He explained that in order to get the proper result, the Doctor must get the DNA molecule from the gene, extract it, replicate it and then amplify it with that polymerase chain reaction (PCR). 
Dr. Okoye is the secretary of the American Board of Human Medicine, Forensic Pathologist and a lawyer. He has investigated 20, 000 cases, performed and supervised over 15, 000 autopsies along with 5,000 cases as consultants. Dr. Okoye has practiced over 42 plus years. He has concluded four autopsy in Liberia in the case of Angel Togba (2008/2009), Harry Greeve (2006), Victoria Zayzay and Charloe Musu. 
He narrated that if the Doctor used chromosome charisma type, then they will not arrive at the conclusion of a male being a minor contributor with the left hand of the deceased. 
 “Now we got the STR, means Short Tandem Repeats, that means amplification, we install it, it can be kept for twenty years and we can get anyone anytime.”
He emphasized that the findings are consistent with a cause of death of multiple bounden force trauma and multiple scapula wounds with completed hemorrhage and the manager of death is homicide. 
 “These wounds are multiples and caused by one individual scandal or intruder into the home and this intruder is someone who is consistent to be a male and muscular. None of the defendants would cause this wound on this victim because the victim is young (29 years ) and 5ft 4in tall and estimated weight of 190pb.”  
He said the ages of the accused, Cllr. Scott, Gertrude Youde, Alice Johnson and Rebecca Newton who were indicted for the crime of murder, criminal conspiracy and making false statements cannot amount to the pressure or force used. 
 “There were multiple traumatic injuries on the body of Charloe Musu; there was a bland force trauma to the back of the head, which measured about 6inches, the largest diameter when the scalp was reflected on the back of the head, there was a lot of hemorrhage within the scalp. There was also injury to the upper part, this was 10 inches, the largest diameter, these two injuries, the one at the back of her head and the one at her head, was the initial injuries suffered by the victims, this was caused by heavy bud force weapon like a steel bar, or iron bar, and this needed a lot of force to cause this injury. Also an excessive force to cause this injury, this particular wound had a lot of blood clause within the skeleton muscles when dissected the upper part.” 
Dr. Okoye explaining in open court with a broad diagram to show the wound furthered: “There were multiple stabbed wounds, these are sharp force injuries on the tussle and the extremities, the first one was on the left upper hand, it was deep, a stab wound that went deep up to 3 and half inches, this wound has diameter that is three of an inch, which measure the diameter that was used to caused this wound. There was also a stabbed wound at the right upper exterior of the breast that was about two and half inches deep and have one of inch in diameter, at the early part of the weapon. Also there is stab wounds number 3, which was on the shoulder, this stab wound went up to three and half inch deep which cause hemorrhage in the left chest lounge. There was also number four stab wound that went from one side to the other side of the forearm, this wound has diameter of 3/8 of an inch.” 
The Pathologist maintained that a stab wound of the left caused hemorrhage within the debt of the skeleton. The wound at the left upper back ent deep up to three quarters inches which is an excessive force. Sadly, the eight wound could not evaluated because Dr.  Kolee removed the wound that was injured. While the nine wound in the upper chest went three inches which is an in-size wound on the right side of the shoulder which is longer in length was a superstitious cut of size wound.
 “All these sharp forces traumatic injuries were not caused by a knife, the configuration are not representative of a knife, they represent steel mental type iron that has sharp ends and consistent with a window bar, or mental steel bar, which also causes a stabbed wound. The blood force traumatic wound that are caused by the same weapon using the length of the weapon, the scalp or the upper back where there are bones and muscles in between and underline the spine.” 
Addressing the DNA analysis report, Dr. Okoye said Charloe finger nails were looked at and clippings they were pulled in five separate envelopes and labeled from which each finger nails clipping was obtained. “DNA was extracted from all of them and analyze. 
According to him, there is contribution from two individuals as indicated by the DNA profile compared with Charloe Musu samples from the tooth which is female contributor that is Charloe Musu and the minor contributor identified as a male contributor. 
 “I instructed the DNA lab to replicate, that is, that minor male contributor, as YSTR, amplified, that is enlarging, make more copies of it, they are making more copies, because it is now we can identify it as a foreign male contributor to the finger nails clipping on the left of the victim. The swab of the blood no other contributor. The swarm or major DNA profile blood spatter from the window of the guest window, there is it is all consistent with those of Charloe patter of the hall way, we then analyze, identify, it can be shown here, there is no major profile.” He said. 
The Doctor stressed “ the swarm of blood spatter from Gloria Scott's bedroom on the bedsheets, all show those DNA profile of Charloe Musu, the swarm of Blood spatter from Gloria Scott's bathroom shows these, there is complete exclusion of Gloria Musu Scott, Rebecca, Alice Johnson and Gertrude Newton as Charloe Musu DNA profile proves.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Okoye said the only foreign DNA profile is that of a-minor contributor by a male in the finger nails profile of the left hand. With the help and user the YSTR, one can use to match any suspect who were at the scene that night if the incident. “More likely the intruder or evader of the house, who cause the injury 99% and the we got the finger nails clipping male who out of a billion, the use of YSTR DNA amplification and PCR, is that even if suspect does not volunteer to give his specimen, his father or grandfather or male cousin can also be linked with the YSTR DNA profile.
