Light Lofa Campaign Intensifies With Planting of Solar Lights

LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA -Light Lofa Campaign has been intensified with the planting of Solar Panel Lights across the county. The project code-named ‘Light Lofa Campaign’ is headed by Montserrado County District # Five Representative, Thomas Fallah.

Speaking recently following the installation of several Solar Panel Lights in Lofa, a member of ‘Light Lofa Campaign’, Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koijee disclosed that the campaign seeks to ensure the planting of at least 500 Solar Panel Lights across the political Districts of Lofa County. The political districts are Salayea, Zorzor, Voinjama, Kolahun, Foya and Vahun. An estimated 500 pieces of Solar Panel Lights have already been brought to the county by Monrovia City Mayor Kojee.

He disclosed that the Solar Lights would be planted at strategic locations, street corners as well as public places, including schools, churches, mosques, markets, government buildings, sites and other major pathways in the county. Meanwhile, Lofa County Superintendent, William Tamba Kamba, has cautioned Lofians and other residents of the county to take ownership and maintain the solar lights. For her part, Voinjama City Mayor Madam Korto Harris admonished the people of Lofa to continue to live together and unite for the common good and development of Lofa County and Liberia at Large.
