Ex-Liberian Footballer Makes Charitable Donation

MONROVIA, LIBERIA -More than 800 residents in the Maryland Center, Dabwe Town and adjacent communities in Montserrado County at the weekend benefited from a charitable donation from former United Soccer Ambassador Football Club (USA FC) star.

As part of his humanitarian gesture, Prince Opoku Walker, who is currently based in United States of America (USA), on Saturday, June 19, 2021, provided a total of 416 bags of rice and 416 gallons of oil to underprivileged residents of the various communities. He said the gesture was his own way of giving back to his people after 13 years of residing in the US. Mr. Walker, who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Prince Walker Group of Companies, returned home few weeks ago. The Prince Walker Group of Companies run a chain of business, including construction, clearing and forwarding, transport, merchandise sales, Real Estate and has a charity and scholarship program.

Since his arrival, he has embarked on a campaign to give back to his people as he currently runs a feeding program where more than 200 persons are being fed daily. The former Liberian soccer star also runs a scholarship program with 30 students in the elementary session of several schools benefitting. It can be recalled that on July 24, 2020, Mr. Walker made a similar charitable donation of 325 bags of rice and 325 gallons of oil to residents of Maryland Center and Dabwe Town.
