Kemayah, Sammie elected Political Leader & Chairman of MOVEE

Ahead of the much publicized 2023 Presidential and Legislative Elections, political institutions are said to be putting their houses in order especially with its legal and administrative structures.

The decision is to ensure that they get fully prepared for the biggest political task in 2023.

One of the many political institutions is The Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE)

The Party on Saturday, September 17, 2022 ended its Emergency National Convention with the election of key individuals to include the Standard Bearer and National Chairman of the Party respectively.

Ambassador Dee Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr. was elected Standard Bearer of MOVEE in his absence due to his outstanding work done over the period for the party, while Robert Sammie was also elected National Chairman of the Party.

In his victory speech, Mr. Sammie thanked the party including the entire delegates for reposing confidence in him to serve them.

Mr. Sammie, former Secretary General of MOVEE, now has a bigger task to take the Party to the crucial 2023 Elections with the hope and aspiration of taking state power over the incumbent Coalition for Democratic Change(CDC).

He encouraged his partisans to be united and hold together as a stronger political body.

" The world is watching us so let's bear in mind our focus of coming together," he urged his people.

MOVEE, he stated, should be a Party that will provide way forward for the country and not negativity adding that MOVEE partisans should see the need to come together to help provide direction for the nation.

"Let focus on the foundation on which our party was established in order to achieve our goal," he emphasized.

Speaking to his partisans on Saturday, September 17, 2022, the MOVEE new Chairman called on them to be a part of a process that will bring about transformation for  the country.

"When we go back to our respective counties and homes, let's think about how we can become a part of a process that will take the country to another level," he intoned.

MOVEE, he pointed out, is an opposition party but will not be a bitter opposition because in his words, a bitter opposition only focuses on the negative and wants to see only the failure of the ruling establishment, something they are not in support of at all.

"Our Party foundation is to build on taking our people from abject poverty and not on the negatives," he reminded his partisans.

Meanwhile, the Emergency National Convention on September 17, 2022 in Paynesville outside Monrovia brought together delegates from across the fifteen politics subdivisions of the country with the sole purpose of electing their national leaders that will steer the affairs of that political establishment in 2023.
