“As the National Muslim Council of Liberia congratulates all Muslim in advance, it seizes this opportunity to urge all Muslims in Liberia to observe the holiness of season by remembering Allah and fasting on Monday July 19,2021 as recommended by the Prophet Muhammad. May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon Him, followed by offering special prayer for our beloved country Liberia, “ the National Muslim Council of Liberia Permanent Secretariat in a statement issued in Monrovia on Thursday, July 15, 2021 and signed by Imam Abdullah G. Mansaray, Chairman disclosed.
At the same time ,the Council urges all Muslims in their various mosques, communities, towns, and villages across Liberia to observe all health protocols prescribed by the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia in an effort to combat the COVID-19 new wave in the country. Meanwhile, the Council extends thanks and appreciation to the Ministry Education under the stewardship of Prof. D. Ansu Sonii [Minister] and the WAEC Secretariat for the timely adjustment made in the National Exams schedule for 3th and 6th Graders in order to allow “our young generation to observe the prayer and also take the exams. This one shows high degree of patriotism and concern for the wellbeing of the young generation and the interest in molding their minds for the future”.
