Over Tehr District Poor Infrastructure -President Weah Expresses Regret

BOMI COUNTY, LIBERIA -Former Clan under Clay district and now an established district in Bomi County, Tehr  is now growing in numerical size with a hope of developing it to the letter.

The newly established district on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 for the first time witnessed the arrival of a Male President of Liberia George Manneh Weah into their area. The visit of President Weah and his entourage to the new district is in continuation of his second leg of his Citizens Engagement County Tour. The happy residents in the area danced, sang and celebrated what they described as the triumphant entry into their district by the Liberian leader, saying he (President Weah) is their Joshua. They lauded the Government of Liberia (GoL) through President Weah for initiating development projects in the area.

Bad roads, poor educational and health infrastructure and or facilities are among other challenging issues affecting the residents in the area. In empathy to the people’s deplorable condition, he regretted to see a new district and former clan which formerly had a President and Speaker to be in said bad state. Terh District is where Julijuah, home of former President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, is located. Speaking on the issue of nursing quarters, President Weah assured his people that he will include nursing quarters into the ongoing Pro Poor Housing Units project for them. “We are different and will ensure that we develop your area, we will work for you and will not disappoint you,” President Weah added.

He lauded the young people in the area for helping to keep their area secure. He then admonished his people to be downhearted but to have hope that he will better their lives.
