Pres. Weah Salutes Liberians in the fight against COVID-19 - But urges them to remain vigilant Featured

President George Manneh Weah Weah has cautioned Liberians to remain vigilant in the fight against the COVID-19 in the country. President Weah’s caution came following Liberia’s latest rating from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, which puts Liberia into the Blue and Green Zone.

Liberia, as per the rating, has made a tremendous boost in the fight against COVID-19 from level four to level one, something the President described as a great step.

According to the Liberian leader, the achievement is credited to all Liberians for fully implementing the health measures, but was also quick to remind them that the fight against COVID-19 is not over yet.

“Let’s not be complacent of the latest report but to continue abiding by the protocols until we are finally declared free of the virus,” the Liberian Chief Executive urged his people.

In another development, President Weah has emphasized Liberia’s commitment to the fight against climate change.

He told Executive Mansion reporters yesterday upon his return to the country that Liberia is willing and prepared to abide by all protocols to help protect its environment and at the same time called for extended support to ensure that it  fully implements said initiative in the best interest of the nation and its people.

It can be recalled that President Weah left Liberia two weeks ago to participate in the COP26 in the United Kingdom and subsequently to Paris, France for the Paris  Peace Forum and finally to Guinea Bissau for that West Africa Country Independence celebrations.
