The senators want authorities give detailed information on Arcelor Mittal Liberia’s thirty-million dollars contribution to the National Budget.
Plenary, which is the highest decision making body of the Liberian Senate, also wants the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning provide budget performance and how monies have been shifted from one line item to another in the restated budget.
It can be recalled that recently, the House of Representatives passed the recast budget in the tone of over eight-hundred-million dollars and forwarded it to the Liberian Senate for concurrence.
The function of the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning is to ccoordinate the formulation of the government's recurrent and development budgets.
