MOVEE dedicates Kemayah Intellectual Center
Liberia’s Foreign Minister, Ambassador Dee Maxwell Saah Kemayah
As a means of sharing varying political ideologies and intellectual discourses, the leadership of the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) has dedicated an intellectual center in honor of its political leader, Ambassador Dee Maxwell Saah Kemayah Political and Intellectual Center.
Speaking at the dedication of the center, MOVEE Chairman, Robert M. Sammie, pointed out that the center, constructed through the innovation of the party’s leadership, will serve as a platform for the provision of credible and fact-based information for MOVEE’s partisans and Liberians at large.
According to him, the center will be a breeding center for enhancing the intellectual capacity of MOVEE’s partisans, especially the youths.
“As we unveil and dedicate this political and intellectual center today, I wish to state that this center will give regular political updates and information to executives, members, sympathizers, and well-wishers of the Movement for Economic Empowerment. As a globally acceptable practice, this center should be dedicated in honor of a personality who has immensely contributed to the existence and operations of MOVEE,” Mr. Sammie said.
“In this light, following a sitting of the National Executive Committee and coupled with consultations done among the general partisan base of MOVEE across the fifteen (15) counties of Liberia, we unanimously, wholeheartedly, and deservingly unveil, dedicate, and name this hall in honor of MOVEE’s Political Leader, His Excellency Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr. The center will be called: “HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR DEE-MAXWELL KEMAYAH, SR POLITICAL & INTELLECTUAL CENTER". The decision to dedicate and name this center in honor of Ambassador Kemayah is in deep appreciation of his years of commitment, loyalty, and support to the formation, existence, and operations of MOVEE.As one of the key founders of the party, Ambassador Kemayah authored the constitution and several other important documents of the party,” Mr. Sammie furthered.
“As we climax the unveiling and dedication of this historic political and intellectual center, I urge all members of the MOVEE to see this center as theirs. The Media & Communications arm of the party, in collaboration with the leadership of the National Youth League, will oversee the active and regular functioning of this center. On behalf of our political leader, in whose name this center has been named, and the National Executive Committee, I assure all MOVEE’s partisans and the public that the Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Kemayah, SR. Political and Intellectual Center," will be supported, maintained, and active,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Center was used as the venue for the signing of the collaboration document of the six political parties, namely: the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE), Redemption Democratic Party (RDC),Change Democratic Actions (CDA), United People’s Party (UPP), People’s Liberation Party and Union of Liberian Democrats (ULD), with the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).
