Jeety boosts BWI Graduates With Internship, Employment

Former Indian Honorary Consul General and Businessman - Upjit Singh Sachdeva common called Jeety has boosted Booker Washington Institute (BWI) Graduates with 20 annual internships and 25 slots for employment in automotive, mechanical and electrical engineering at the Jeety Rubber Factory. 

Speaking at the BWI Joint Commencement Convocation over the weekend as the guest speaker, Jeety said this opportunity is a stepping stone to the job market for the prospective beneficiaries as the world is changing at an incredible pace considering technology. 

With that, he said it requires more skilled workforce. 
 
Jeety indicated the slots of employment will be given to the top 20 graduates with higher grades and it will be available when the Jeety Rubber Factory fully starts operations few months for now. 

"This commitment is being made considering that when the factory is open, I will depend a lot on the local workforce, particularly those with technical knowledge,’’ the prominent Indian Businessman stressed. 

The Indian businessman added that the 25 cadets with automotive, mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge will gain employment. He hoped and prayed that those beneficiaries will perform on the job taking clue from whatever they had been thought. 

Indian by national and Liberian by heart- Jeety furthered that the opportunity is meant for the best and await the Administration of BWI to submit the  names and students studying at a tertiary level to develop practical experience in their chosen field of study.

He urged then that the world is facing several challenges that require every attention and with the knowledge acquired that can equipped them with the tool to navigate these challenges. 

“You have knowledge at your fingertips so forth and explore and make Liberia a better place.” He added. 

"Currently, the installation of the factory equipment is ongoing; therefore, I need the foreign experts to train the locals on how to operate these machines and is in this regard that I am partnering with BWI to create industry ready talents through internships and cadet employment opportunities." Jeety narrated.

Jeety mentioned that it is important to develop relevant workplace skills and knowledge for young Liberians as well as to provide them with the opportunity to apply what they have learned in the classroom to real-world work situations; while serving as a stepping stone to the job market for the prospective beneficiary as the world is changing at an incredible pace.

He encouraged the graduates to remember the value of their education and the impact that they can make in the world and that they are the future of workforce.

"It is about creating a higher-skilled workforce for immediate employment opportunities anywhere in the world,” Jeety said.

He added,  “Be curious and ask a lot of big questions. Try to find the answers. You have the knowledge at your fingertips, so explore it now and make Liberia a better place while you are at it, be sure to thank your professors for all they did to assist you.”
