Education Ministry suspends Giddings Polytechnic Operational Permit

The local Education Officer of Margibi County, Steven Toe, pointed out that the  institution was suspended for breaching the 2022/2023 academic calendar guidelines.
It can be recalled that on July 6, 2023, the school paraded with a coffin through the principal streets of Kakata City, during its gala day celebrations.
Mr. Toe said the unusual move is totally against the guidelines on gala day activities put in place by the Ministry of Education.
He told ELBC that the Giddings Polytechnic Institute violated the code of conduct and education laws of Liberia, and it will remain suspended until the outcome of an ongoing investigation into the matter.
The mission of the Ministry of Education is to provide quality education for all and prepare future leaders who are capable of handling the task of nation building, protecting our national heritage and enhancing the socio-economic growth and development for the sustenance of the Liberian state.
