Deputy Speaker to dedicate Sarkonedul High School Project in Quardu-Gboni

Deputy Speaker, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa of the 54th Legislature, is expected to grace the official celebration of the 1st high school project in Sarkonedul,  Quardu-Gboni, Lofa County.

The school is constructed by citizens of Sarkonedul under the banner, Sarkonedul Development Organization.

The National Executive Committee (NEC) and the general membership of the Sarkonedul Drvelopment Association in collaboration with the citizens of Sakonedul Community, invited the Deputy Speaker to serve as the Keynote Speaker for the celebration of the school.

The Deputy Speaker is also invited to do the dedication.

The celebration and dedication of the school project is scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2023 in Sarkonedul Community. And it is the community's first high school since the establishment of Quardu-Gboni District in 2004.

Sarkonedul is located on the outskirt of Voinjama in Quardu-Gboni, District #4, Lofa County. The district representative is Rep. Mariamu Fofana. Rep. Fofana is the Chairperson on the House's Education and Public Administration Commitee.

It may be recalled, on April 27, 2021; heavy storm destroyed several homes in Sarkonedul,  leaving several homeless including its only junior high and hundreds of school-going children out of school. It is in this vein that the citizens of Sarkonedu under the banner Sarkonedu Development Organization launched a campaign to construct a state-of-the-art high school and vocational center in the district.
