Chief Patron of Sports promises to construct Kickball First Ever Sporting Facility

The long awaited dream of players and technicians of Liberia's traditional sports, Kickball appears to be at the verge of being achieved.

Well this is so because, the Chief Patron of Sports George Manneh Weah has promised to construct a new facility for kickball in the Country.

Making the disclosure after the end of the 2023 National League Season, the Chairman on Executive at the Liberian Senate, Saah Joseph said in one-week time, technicians will pay a visit at the site to begin an assessment for the subsequent commencement of the project.

He told the players that the Liberian Chief Executive is very passionate to see the transformation of the game and is working towards achieving it.

According to him, the next league season, kickball players will no longer play on dusty and or poor pitch following the construction of the new facility soon.

The Montserrado County Lawmaker,  who has made some interventions to help support the sports,  also encouraged  kickball players to continue to remain focused , passionate in order help to improve the game.

At the same time,  the President of the Kickball Federation Emmanuel Whea described the Montserrado County Lawmaker as Kickball Hero due to his immense contribution towards the improvements of the game.

Mr. Whea also commended his team mate for the united spirit that has kept the dream of the traditional sports alive .

According to him, Liberia is at a cross road as such, he urged all citizens of the County to get on board to work to make it happen for the Nation.

President Whea used the occasion to lift executive clemency on previously punished individuals of the sector.

Meanwhile, the 2023 edition of the Liberia Kickball Federation League ended  with  Aries KC winning the league season in the first division category.

The experienced Kickball club had to wait for the last day of the competition to smartly and narrowly clinched the championship on home runs advantage after she both leveled on 26 points each with Destiny KC.

Aries walked away with a cash price of $USD 1,000.00 from Senator Saah Joseph while runner's up, Destiny KC took home US$ 600.00.

Elsewhere, Barnesville Super Star won the second division championship and walked away with a cash price of US$500.00.
