In Bong County NaFAA Boss Tours Fish Farms -Assures Liberians of Transforming the Sector 

MONROVIA, LIBERIA -The Director General of the National Fisheries and AquaCulture Authority, Madam Emma M. Glasco, as part of her mission to revamp and enhance activities of that sector, on Friday, February 5, 2021 toured fish farms in Bong County.

During her tour, Madam Glasco told reporters that in a drive to empower the visited areas, NaFAA will in a period of six months begin to provide technical assistance to farms visited in Montserrado and Bong Counties. According to her and unlike before, she is fully ready and prepared to restore transformation within the Aquaculture (Fish Farm) sector. She said “now is the time to effect real changes and improvement in the Liberian fisheries sector”. As part of additional reforms in the sector, she disclosed that cage farming will be introduced on major rivers and ceaks across Liberia Soon.

The NAFAA head made the remarks Friday, February 5, 2021 when she toured fish farms in central Liberia Including Africa Rice, CARI, and Mrs. Estelle Liberty Farm, a fish farmer and former government official, among many others.
