Speaking Monday, December 9, 2019 during the presentation of the items, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Insurance Company, Mr. Peter Massaquoi, said the donation was an initial contribution to the KMTV family for its professional news and events related activities in Liberia of which they in the diaspora really appreciate.
"We are proud of you guys and have come to identify with you people with just a little to say how appreciative we are about your work which we enjoy," added Massaquoi.
According to him, his institution has deep interest in seeing KMTV grow better and wider, and therefore, he assured KMTV family that he will lobby with other business people including media institutions in the United States of America to see the need to support the good and meaningful as well as professional venture of KMTV-Liberia.
As former employee, journalist and a seasoned reporter of Truth FM, Massaquoi said it is now time to help support the work of the media in Liberia, especially with usable and professional gadgets as well as the building of the capacity of journalists in Liberia.
"Let's help the media because they are doing well, even if there are challenges, we need to identify and address them and provide for them the necessary tools to enhance their work, he told his fellow colleagues in the diaspora.
The Peter Massaquoi Insurance Agency based in New Jersey, the United States of America is owned and operated by a Liberian and renders services to include: Life, Health Insurance, and many others, as there are plans in the making to come and invest in Liberia soon.
In response, the Chief Executive Officer of KMTV-Liberia, Mr. Randall Jackson, lauded Massaquoi and his company for what he termed as a timely and meaningful gesture.
According to him, the new gadgets have further equipped KMTV-Liberia for its many viewers and audiences locally, nationally and internationally.
"The donation means a lot to us most especially the intend of it, this is so touching and encouraging, for that, we say thank you,” stated the KMTV Boss.
Jackson used the occasion to encourage other Liberians to see the need to support struggling, but potential Liberian businesses to ensure they contribute meaningfully to society.
"I am impressed by this and it will serve as a senior motivation for us to do more,” KMTV-CEO added.
“The modern broadcast equipment include All in one HP Computer set, sophisticated live studio Microphone and other accessories will, among other things, help enhance the work of Liberia's number one online Television (KMTV)as they strive to do more professional work for the world at large” Jackson intoned.
