The documents are aimed at reintroducing the Drug Revolving Fubds and the decentralization of county health structures.
A Health Ministry statement signed by its Communication Consultant, Mr. Sorbor George, said the meeting follows series of nationwide consultation for the reintroduction of the Drug Revolving Funds or fees for service .
If the documents are validated, they will augment the government’s budgetary and donors supports to the health sector.
The documents will also spell out a mechanism that will allow healthcare providers to properly account for fees that will be collected from care seekers.
Currently, Liberia runs a healthcare sector budget of 60 million.
Personnel take a huge chunk of the budget while drugs acquisition lags behind.
