Contending Political Parties and Supporters Asked to Be Peaceful

MONROVIA, LIBERIA - Condo Reconciliation Group Incorporated, an international non-for profit organization that is involved in peace building and reconciling the Liberian people, has called on all contending political parties and their supporters to exercise restraint and patience during these trying times of Liberia’s democratic process.

In a press release issued in Monrovia, the group, which is based in Liberia and the United States of America(USA), said its call is based on the continued wave of violence that is taking place across the country ahead of the much publicized Special Senatorial Election and National Referendum slated for December 8, 2020. “As you may be aware, the country has witnessed the pre-election violence in Grand Gedeh involving the leader of the opposition Alternative National Congress(ANC) Mr. Alexander B. Cummings, Representative Yekeh Kolubah of Montserrado County District # 10 Montserrado County, and senatorial aspirant and former Superintendent Edith Gongloe-Weh and Tarh Wongbah in Ganta City, Nimba County, and the most recent unsettling development between the Supporters of Representative Edwin Melvin Snow on one hand and former House Speaker Alex Tyler on the other hand, both senatorial aspirants in Bomi County, ” the Condo Reconciliation Group Incorporated recalled. Meanwhile, the group has made an open initiative for the resolution of the conflict at a round table conference with all of the traditional flavors for resolving the conflict.
