TRENNA Brings Huge Consignment of Medical And Food Supplies

The Projector Coordinator of the Trembo National Association of Americas, Incorporated (TRENNA) says they are excited to inform the Liberian people of a 40’ container of medical equipment and supplies , medicines and high protein food, which departed the United States of America on February 13, 2020 and arrived in Liberia on March 13, 2020.

TRENNA is a non-profit organization that, among other things, helps to provide individuals and communities in Liberia and the diaspora with the necessary tools and training to be self-reliant through sustainable economic programs, and promotes cultural and social tolerance.

It can be recalled that on August 31, 2019, TRENNA launched its “Medical Container Project” to provide medicines, medical equipment and supplies and high protein food to one health center and two health center as well as twenty two-22communities and approximately 8,000 residents of Trembo District in Grand Kru County.

Project Coordinator Mr. Harry Kpoh, in an interview with journalists on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 during the offloading of the 40’ container of medical equipment and supplies , medicines and high protein food named Behwan Health Center, Newaken and Gblebo Clinics in Trembo District, Grand Kru County that will benefit from the medical equipment and that all towns in the district will benefit from the food supplies.

Kpoh disclosed that the project, which is valued at US$240,000, will address the shortage of essential medicines at those health facilities and food for children and expectant mothers.

According to him, this is the second time of many of the distributions of such kind to come. He recalled that in 2014, the Liberian Community of Kentucky and Southern Indiana sent a 40’ container of medical equipment and supplies to help buttress the efforts of the Government of Liberia(GoL) during the Ebola crisis.
While clarifying that the kind gesture has no political undertone and that it is purely humanitarian, he mentioned that some of these equipment will be donated to the GoL for the fight against the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, TRENNA has partnered with organizations including Supplies Overseas, Catholic Medical Mission Board and Love. The Hungary and others that provided medicines, medical equipment and food supplies and high protein for the residents of Liberia, especially Grand Kru County.
