Delegates at the recent County Sitting of Grand Gedeh have resolved to complete all on-going construction projects, while the project management team in each district, project management committee and office of the assistant superintendent will henceforth be held accountable for incomplete projects not justified.

The eighty delegates from the eight administrative districts of the county allotted US$697,552 for projects and institutions in Grand Gedeh County for development purposes.
The recent sitting allotted US$10,000 for the local bar association to guide contracts in keeping with law, hire engineers as consultants but insisted that no institution, including the Zwedru City Corporation, GESA, Gedeh University Association, are to receive any allotment until they account for expenditures for all previous allotments.
The Chairman of the Grand Gedeh County Legislative Caucus, Alex Chensia Grant, turned over the gavel of authority to the county superintendent at the end of the three-day  sitting which was graced by several interest groups, including civil society organizations, INGOS, line ministries and agencies of government, among others.
During the sitting, the caucus chairman along with the secretary of the caucus, Zoe Emmanuel Pennue, urged Grand Gedeans to pull resources together despite political differences to enable the county to feed itself and export food like before the 1980s.
He announced that US$10,000 has been set aside for the commencement of communal farming, starting from the county’s bread basket, Cavalla District.
