In Vahun, Lofa County - Storm Leaves One Seriously Wounded, 200 Homeless

A violent storm that unroofed about 25 houses in Vahun, LofaCounty on Friday evening, October 25, 2019 left at least one person seriously wounded and made more than 200 people homeless.

Vahun is situated between Liberia and neighboring Sierra Leone.

According to report gathered by the Heritage at the weekend , one William Bambu, a resident of Gbongoma Town located in Upper Guma broke his shoulder after a tree fell on him as a result of the violent storm.

Shoulder is the upper joint of the human arm and the part of the body between this and the neck.

Four quarters within Vahun were also affected by the storm. They include: Kpanguma, Gabon, Fahnla and Momola.

Meanwhile, the Paramount Chief of Vahun, GumaMende District, MoideeNyally, has called on President Dr. George Manneh Weah, humanitarian organizations and others to help the storm victims as they are without food and shelters.
