Also speaking at the news conference, Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Emmanuel Jlikan said their success of arresting the guys didn't only do it on the police efforts but the Executive Director of the National Identification Registry, J. Tiah Nagbe.

He narrated that when the bank informed him (Mr. Nagbe) about such act he immediately got to the police to begin investigation. He cautioned those who are involved in such unscrupulous act to stop, saying the act is illegal and unwarranted. Meanwhile, the Executive Director of the National Identification Registry J. Tiah Nagbe applauded the LNP for the collaboration to protect the state. Mr. Nagbe said the act is dangerous for people who are doing it. He disclosed that the ID is linked to the international world to identify people. " When this problem continues the world will have a very serious problem with Liberians’ information on their respective ID Cards." He warned.

“When you fix the ID outside which is the fake way, once you use it to the bank the system will tell the teller that the card is being fake and they will arrest you because the National ID Card speaks as a system,” Mr. Nagabe pointed out. He concluded by encouraging people to visit the National ID Card Office to fix their card.
