Sister Charged For Stabbing Brother

  Following police investigation into the killing of a resident  of the Duport Road Community in Paynesville, outside Monrovia, the Liberia National Police (LNP) has charged a 26-year-old woman with murder.

the police charge follows a thorough investigation into the matter which occurred barely two weeks ago. According to police charge sheet, suspect Louise Demen, 26, on June 3, 2020 intentionally and willfully killed her little brother Melvin Nathaniel, 24, with a knife for reportedly using her (Louise) bath bucket.

The crime allegedly committed by the suspect, the police indicated, is in violation of chapter 14, subchapter "A" and section 14.1 of the revised Penal Code of Liberia. The police investigation revealed that the accused( Louise Demen) stabbed her brother to death following bitter exchanges that ensued between them over bathing bucket.

Investigation conducted reveals that deceased Melvin Nathaniel aged 24, met his death when he got into a scuffle his sister after returning from work. According to eyewitnesses, the deceased and his big sister are usually at logger head in the community. Speaking in an interview with reporters, defendant Louise pleaded for forgiveness adding that she regrets her action. The deceased was buried the next day after his death at the Duport Road Cementry. Meanwhile, defendant Louise Demen is currently behind bars at the Monrovia Central Prison as pre -detainee pending Court trail by the state.
